Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has designed a T-shirt to raise money for two breast cancer charities.

The professional dancer, who was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, has teamed up with Asda to design a T-shirt for its Tickled Pink campaign, which runs throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

The Welsh TV personality worked with the design team at George at Asda to create the bold T-shirt, which comes in baby pink and slate grey colourways. The top features a pink bow design and a handwritten message from Amy, who added a heart and the words, “Love, Amy Dowden.”

All the profits from the sale of the T-shirt, and other pieces in the Tickled Pink clothing collection, will go to the supermarket’s charity partners Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel!

“I’m so happy to be working with Asda Tickled Pink on this year’s campaign. Breast cancer awareness is something I feel so passionately about, especially after my own diagnosis,” Amy said in a statement. “It’s hugely important to know your own body and check your chest regularly from a young age, and I hope that being involved in this campaign can help to raise heaps of awareness and funds for the brilliant Tickled Pink charity partners – Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel!”

The 24-year-old was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2023. After undergoing chemotherapy and a mastectomy, doctors discovered “no evidence of disease” in February.

Amy, who documented her health battle in the TV programme Strictly Amy: Cancer and Me, had to sit out of Strictly last year due to her health, but she recently made her return with celebrity partner JB Gill.

Her T-shirt, which costs £10, is available to buy from George.com now.
