The last year-and-a-half has brought about waves of change and laid truth at our feet that we can no longer ignore. Now more than ever, people want to feel seen and heard, get involved in causes they care about, and create inclusive change.

CivicAction is listening, and responding to this need

We are a highly respected, results-driven civic engagement organization with a history of bold action and innovative change. As we enter this new era of impact, we are sharpening our focus on what we do best.

We are harnessing our diverse network and leveraging our strengths as a convenor as we work to create an equitable economy and build a better, more inclusive future for everyone who calls the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area home.

Because we know there is nothing more important to the future of our communities than preparing those who will lead them, we are increasingly focused on connecting, empowering, and activating the leaders of tomorrow through programs like DiverseCity Fellows, the Emerging Leaders Network, CivicMatch, and more.

As we convene, collaborate, and co-create new solutions to build better, more inclusive cities, CivicAction calls on leaders from all sectors, backgrounds, and lived experiences to join us.

We call on you

Addressing racism and systemic power inequities can feel overwhelming, and all too often it’s hard to know where to begin. But each of us has the power to reach out a hand, step across the divide, and build a future where we can all succeed, where we all belong.

Let’s start by listening to each other and amplifying lived experiences that are different than our own.

This moment in time has shown us that change is longstanding when all voices are included—and when everyone feels welcome—at the decision-making table.

Be part of innovative and meaningful change.

Be part of CivicAction.
