The country music legend and LGBTQ+ activist have joined forces on the three-piece Dolly x Nina: Kindness is Queen line.
Dolly Parton and RuPaul’s Drag Race star Nina West have partnered on a capsule collection to raise funds for charity.
The country music legend and LGBTQ+ activist have joined forces on the three-piece Dolly x Nina: Kindness is Queen line, which is comprised of a limited-edition T-shirt, tote bag, and enamel pin.
Each item features the Kindness Is Queen slogan, with West hoping the concept will “foster kindness and hope during this difficult time.”
“When I approached Dolly with the idea for a collaboration between the Nina West Foundation and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, I was looking for an opportunity to continue to spread my message of kindness while building on the work I’ve done through my foundation supporting LGBTQ+ youth and families,” said West.
“Dolly is the Ultimate Queen of Kindness, and I am so thrilled that she agreed to this collaboration! We both want to spread the message that Kindness is Queen, and that being kind is something that is desperately needed in our world right now!”
Items are available from West’s website, with pieces costing between $14.99 (£12) and $34.99 (£28). Proceeds from sales will benefit Parton’s Imagination Library, a program that promotes literacy by providing free high-quality books to children of all ages. West’s The Nina West Foundation, which supports organizations and services that aid LGBTQ+ youth and families.
West, 41, began dabbling in drag in 2001 but rose to prominence in the U.S. during an appearance on the eleventh season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, where she placed sixth and won Miss Congeniality.
